Some Talks and Lectures I can currently do
I give quite a few talks to PCCGB and other photo-historical groups, both live and via the internet (Zoom etc.). I try to keep this list updated with whatever is new. If you are interested please get in touch via the Contact page. They are mostly based on researching cameras (or photographs) in my collection.

A Glass Brightly - Cameras that take pictures through mirrors or prisms.
Camera Obscura - A demo, needing a room that can be converted into a camera obscura, the audience sits inside. Not Zoomable!
Cyano-Antho - The use of cyanotype and anthotype as in-camera sensitive materials.
The Doomed 4x4 TLR - History of the short but intense life of the 127-film 4x4cm Twin Lens Reflex.
Gandolfi - The Gandolfi family and their cameras.
Garden Photography - how to photograph your garden. This one is for gardeners rather than photogaphers!
In the Swing - Swing-lens panorama cameras.
Lichtenberg - Lichtenberg and Trouvelot, pioneers of the patterns made by high voltage discharges on insulating surfaces including photographic plates.
Mizuno - The gold and silver photographs of Hanbeh Mizuno in Japan at the turn of the 20th century.
Popular history talk - The prehistory of photography up to the invention of the Kodak. For the general public, not photo-historical folk.
TriVision or 3D - Comparing the Kirk Stereo, Haneel TriVision and Coronet 3-D, inexpensive stereo cameras from the 1950s.
Watkins - a short talk on Alfred Watkins.
90+ - The history of wide angle lenses.
